How eBay and StockX charge sneaker sellers
- eBay, sneakers at $150 or more: 8% of the total sale (shoes, shipping and sales tax) and no per-order fee; 7% with a Basic or higher Store. Under $150 the normal 13.6% plus $0.40 applies.
- StockX, Verified Marketplace: a transaction fee of 9% at Level 1 down to 7% at Level 5 ($5 minimum), 3% payment processing, and about $5 shipping for one pair from the US, taken from your payout.
- On these defaults eBay keeps you more at most prices: at $200 you'd keep $181.51 on eBay against $171.00 on StockX, and at $500 $455.71 against $435.00. The exception is from about $91.81 to $124.53, where StockX can be up to $0.86 ahead: eBay's 8% only starts when the total with shipping and tax reaches $150. With an eBay Store, eBay keeps more at every price.
- What StockX gives you for it: buyers already waiting at a bid, no photos or listing to write, and StockX verifies the pair before you're paid. Speed can be worth the difference.
