Bonanza vs eBay Fees (2026)
Bonanza's rate is lower than eBay's, but you pay your own card processing there, and an eBay Store changes the answer. Enter a sale to see what you'd keep on each.

How Bonanza and eBay fees differ
- Bonanza: an 11% final value fee on the item plus any shipping above $10 (1.5% on the part above $4,000, minimum $0.50), $0.25 a sale unless you're a member, and your own Stripe (2.9% + $0.30) or PayPal (3.49% + $0.49) fee on the whole payment.
- eBay: 13.6% of the total sale (item, shipping and sales tax) plus $0.40 per order for most categories, payment processing included; 12.7% with a Basic or higher Store.
- With Stripe and no eBay Store, Bonanza keeps you more at every price from $1 to $5,000 (on these defaults: $8.00 shipping, 7.5% sales tax, not a member). At $100: $85.08 on Bonanza against $83.81 on eBay.
- With PayPal, Bonanza keeps more up to about $396.21; from about $407.14 to $4,050.51 eBay does, and above that Bonanza's 1.5% rate on the part over $4,000 wins again.
- With an eBay Store, eBay keeps more from about $150.32 (Bonanza paid by Stripe) or $41.98 (PayPal). Below that, down to $10, Bonanza does. Between the switch points the two are within a cent or two.
- Audience counts too: eBay has far more buyers. Bonanza can import your eBay listings, so many sellers list on both.
What you keep on Bonanza vs eBay
Assumes $8.00 shipping paid by the buyer, a $8.00 shipping cost, 7.5% sales tax, not a Bonanza member, eBay's most-categories rate. "Keep" is after fees and shipping, before what you paid for the item.

Frequently asked questions
Is Bonanza cheaper than eBay?
Usually, if buyers pay you through Stripe and you don't have an eBay Store: on a $100 sale with $8.00 shipping and 7.5% sales tax, Bonanza's fees are $14.92 and eBay's $16.19.
Why does PayPal change the answer?
Bonanza doesn't process payments: buyers pay into your own PayPal or Stripe account. PayPal's 3.49% + $0.49 is higher than Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30, enough that eBay keeps more above about $407.14.
Does an eBay Store make eBay cheaper than Bonanza?
Above about $150.32, yes: a Store drops eBay's rate to 12.7% for most categories. At $300 with a Store you'd keep $257.55 on eBay against $256.85 on Bonanza (Stripe).
Do both charge fees on shipping?
eBay charges its fee on the item, shipping and sales tax. Bonanza's fee counts only the shipping you charge above $10; Stripe or PayPal still charge on the whole payment.
